Senior Portraits with Layla

I recently had the joy of photographing Layla, a high school senior who wanted her portraits to feel timeless, natural, and unique. We started with a planning session where we talked through her vision, locations, and outfits, and I walked her through how the entire photo experience would flow. Layla knew she wanted a mix of soft, coastal tones and something more organic and intimate—so we split her session between a quiet local beach and a private orchard tucked away nearby. The combination gave us the perfect blend of breezy shoreline moments and warm, earthy portraits. Getting to know each other beforehand made the session feel relaxed and fun, and it allowed us to create images that reflected her personality beautifully. I always want my seniors to feel heard, understood, and confident that we’re crafting something unique and meaningful together.

As a senior photographer, these sessions are truly some of my favorites. I love helping my seniors express their personalities in a way that feels genuine and never forced. My goal is always to create a space where they feel comfortable, celebrated, and excited to be themselves in front of the camera. From planning outfits to choosing locations to guiding natural, flattering poses, I’m there every step of the way.
