Sammy’s senior session was one of those evenings that just came together in the best way. When we first started planning, she wasn’t totally sure what she wanted—just that she loved the idea of being outdoors somewhere a little more quiet and private. After chatting through a few options with her and her mom, we landed on Point No Point Beach for a slower evening with less foot traffic. It ended up being the perfect fit. Sammy has a more reserved, thoughtful personality, and at the beginning she was easing into being in front of the camera—but as we walked, talked, and got to know each other more, she really started to relax and let her personality shine. Some of my favorite moments came from the in-between—laughing about her plans after graduation, talking through her interests, and just letting the session feel natural instead of rushed or overly posed.
As a photographer, this is exactly what I hope for in every senior session. My goal is always to create an environment where my seniors feel comfortable, have fun, and walk away feeling celebrated. I’m pretty laid back myself, and I genuinely love getting to know each person I’m working with. I’ll absolutely help guide the vision—from choosing a location to outfits, little details, and how I direct you—but at the end of the day, it has to feel like you. If something doesn’t reflect who you are, it shows in the photos. I want my seniors to look at their images and feel confident, recognized, and proud of this season of life.
If you’re a senior looking for a photographer who will help you create a session that actually feels like you (and not just something trendy), I would love to work together. I photograph seniors from all over the area including Bainbridge High School, Kingston High School, North Kitsap High School, Olympic High School, Central Kitsap High School, South Kitsap High School, Bremerton High School, Klahowya Secondary School, and beyond. Let’s plan something you’ll be obsessed with 🤍
